Ready Steady Go! Ski areas near munich

Whether you are a beginner or an advanced skier, a pleasure skier or a sports enthusiast, near Munich there are many possibilities to enjoy the popular winter sport. Skiing yes – but long car journey no? We show you the most popular ski areas around Munich. And all of them are near the TIMEHOUSE for a short stop-over.

Christlum – the Ski paradise in the Tiroler mountains

The nearby Christlum ski area is a perfect destination for families in particular. There you will find, among other things, a children’s world, a family downhill run for a shared experience and a fun park for those who want to prove their skills. Plus point: The ski area can be reached without a vignette and there is also a parking guarantee.

Skiworld Wilder Kaiser – Brixental

The ski resort in Söll is one of the largest and most modern ski resorts in the world and is only an hour and a half by car from Munich. With over 284 slopes and 21 downhill runs, there is something for beginners and professionals alike – and if you need a little more, you can show off your tricks on one of the adventure pistes or fun parks. There are 77 family-run huts and cafes to choose from, for a short or longer break in between.

Skiregion Brauneck

It is one of the most popular ski resorts in Bavaria. With 34 kilometres of slopes ranging from easy and medium downhill runs to the demanding World Cup downhill run and the mogul slopes on the upper Garland, everyone will find their favourite route. The numerous beautiful alpine huts and inns also lend the ski area its bavarian, rustic charm. The car ride from Munich takes about one hour and the parking slots and the shuttle busses are free of charge.
