It's about to start again. The biggest traditional festival in the world, the Munich Wiesn, opens on September 16, 2023 its tents. Every year, the Oktoberfest takes place on the Theresienwiese in Munich and delights locals and "Zuagroaste" alike. But what exactly makes the Wiesn so special? - At lunchtime you can go to a cozy tent, such as the Ochsenbraterei. You can stretch your legs and enjoy the atmosphere while sitting down to a beer and chicken or an ox-fat roll.
- At the Herzlstand you can expect not only delicious gingerbread hearts, roasted almonds, candy floss, etc., but also a great backdrop for photos that will delight Instagram enthusiasts in particular.
- Tents such as the Hacker Pschorr Festzelt or the Hofbräuzelt with many international guests are suitable for extensive partying. If the party doesn't last until 10.30 pm, you can continue partying in the Weinzelt or Käferzelt.
- As a Munich resident, you visit one of the numerous fish stands before going home and get a fish sandwich for the way home.
