TIMEHOUSE – Serviced Apartments München

Explore Munich and the surrounding area on two wheels

When the weather is nice, there's one way to discover Munich: by bike! Fresh air, sporting activity and no rush hour traffic! It's also nice to walk, but you can see more in less time by bike. We have a few routes for you directly from TIMEHOUSE.

Whether for sightseeing, a little exercise after work or simply to get some fresh air - there are many beautiful routes in Munich that can be discovered by bike. If you don't have your own bike with you, you can rent one quickly and easily from one of the many providers in Munich, for example at an MVG bike station for €12 per day!

Short bike tour through the Olympic Park and Luitpold Park

Our first route example goes via Petuelpark to Olympiapark, where you circle the beautiful Olympiasee lake and ride through Luitpoldpark on the way back. You then quickly return to TIMEHOUSE via Parzivalstraße. Almost the entire route consists of asphalted cycle paths and roads and is therefore also suitable for non-athletes. You only need about half an hour for the approximately 9 km long bike tour.

Along Leopoldstraße and the Isar river

There is a lot to see in beautiful Schwabing. Starting from TIMEHOUSE, you will first pass the Münchner Freiheit and the Siegestor via Leopoldstraße. The route then takes you past the Eisbachwelle and the Friedensengel on the other side of the Isar. The route continues along the Isar to the Isar weir. The mini Hofbräuhaus in the English garden is the perfect place for a break. After passing the Nordfriedhof cemetery, the route draws to a close and you reach TIMEHOUSE again. The route is mostly on asphalt, otherwise on firm gravel and forest floor. The entire route is flat, with only a few inclines and declines. You cycle the 13 km route for about an hour.

Sporty route around the reservoir

This route around the reservoir is a dream come true for motivated cyclists. Many beautiful views of the countryside and nature await you. If you set out on this bike tour, you should have a certain basic level of fitness, because at just under 46 km, you will be on the road for more than 3 hours, mainly on cycle paths and a few (side) roads. You should expect 100 m uphill and 100 m downhill - just what you need to work off some energy.

For keen cyclists - route to Lake Starnberg

If you would like to go on a day trip by bike, you should take a look at the route to Lake Starnberg. Starting from TIMEHOUSE, you pass Odeonsplatz and Waldfriedhof, arrive at Fürstenried West Palace and continue through the lush forest landscape of Forstenrieder Park. You then ride through the Leutstettener Moor to Lake Starnberg. Here you can enjoy a break from the strenuous tour in one of the cafés and beer gardens. To explore the north side of the lake, ride up to the Schlossberg. Then you cycle past the A95 back to TIMEHOUSE. The 70 km on cycle paths, side roads and forest trails with around 380 m of ascent and descent can be completed in around five hours by sporty cyclists.
